My whole life I was surrounded by Christianity. I knew the principles of the Gospel and what is it to be a Christian. At an early age, my parents introduced me to Jesus and I accepted Him as my personal Savior, and later got baptized. However, my curiosity about God was only to fulfill religious pride and I did not apply what I knew from the Bible to my life. Yet, I considered myself a good Christian girl based on my knowledge of the Bible and my good works.

My junior year of college, I moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida. I was walking around campus when I was asked by a minister from Cornerstone Christian Church to answer some questions regarding my spiritual beliefs and my relationship with God. I was confident and proud to say that I would go to heaven because I believe Jesus Christ is my Savior. For a long time, I was content with that answer because I thought it was all that I needed to be called a Christian. Nevertheless, I was invited to do a Bible study with this minister. The first time I went to the Bible study, I did not go with the right attitude. I went proudly thinking that I already knew everything they were about to tell me. Surprisingly I came out being so convicted by the Holy Spirit because I found out that I did not know much. At this point God was revealing different things in my life that made me question my walk with Christ. That day I realized that the amount of knowledge I had of God and the Bible did not matter because I did not know Christ. I knew Jesus Christ as my Savior, but He was never the Lord of my life. I was still holding on to my own will and desires. I chose to repent and follow Him with my whole life and began to allow His word to change the person that I was.

Later that same year I became a member of Cornerstone Christian Church. Surrounded by this amazing community of believers my faith in God became stronger as He was drawing me near to Himself. I have matured spiritually and my relationship with God has grown immensely. I have experienced His goodness and kindness towards a sinner like me. I know that God loves me, and nothing will ever separate me from His love. Therefore, I want to do everything that is pleasing in His sight as I live for Him. I went on my first spring break mission trip this year to share the  powerful Gospel of Jesus Christ with the students of the University of Florida. It was such a joy to witness souls getting saved through the Word of God. I also lead Bible studies and share the Gospel on the USF campus. God has done amazing things in my life this past year and I am so excited for all the things that He has in store for me.
