Growing up, I had a very rough childhood. I faced heavy anxiety and depression, and negative experiences that deeply hurt me. I carried a lot of pain and confusion for a long time, unsure of where to turn or how to heal. When I came to college, I hit a point where I knew something had to change. Out of desperation and hope, I randomly decided to pray to God - even though I wasn’t sure what to expect. Incredibly, the very next day a minister from Cornerstone stopped me and offered todo Bible studies with me. That minister would become one of my closest friends.
Through those Bible studies, I started to truly understand the depth of God’s love for me and the gravity of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. I realized that God had never stopped pursuing me, even in my darkest moments. Shortly after, I made the decision to give my life to Him. The following week, I was baptized. Within two months, I became a member at Cornerstone Christian Church. My life began to transform in ways I never imagined. A few months later, I had the opportunity to go on a spring break trip to UCF, where I got to share the Gospel with other girls - just like someone had done with me. Seeing how the Lord used my faith and worked through me was absolutely amazing. Now, I get to do the same thing at USF as a Bible Study Leader with Cornerstone. I’m so grateful for how the Lord changed my life - and how He continues to shape me, heal me, and use me for His purpose. I’m living proof that no past is too broken for God to redeem.
