I grew up in a household where my parents were always arguing and being very separate from each other, but we still went to church every Sunday and youth group on Wednesdays. I grew up in the church, and I was able to talk the talk, and give all the right answers, but I  didn’t have a relationship with Jesus or know Him on a personal level.

My parents ended up getting divorced, and a loss in my family took me to an all time low. It was then when Jesus came to me. He found me at this low with open arms. I felt His love. I gave my life to the Lord at the age of 12, but I never knew what came next. I went on with life still living as if I was a part of the world. I knew that some things weren’t good, and to avoid them, but I did not know what living as a Christian truly looked like.

Fast forward in life, and I found myself in college. I was so excited to get started until I realized how much of a worldly environment it can be. I wanted nothing to do with it, so I was very lonely with only a couple of friends. One night, walking out of the dining hall, I saw a large movie screen with a movie being played. I felt led by the Lord to sit down and check it out, and that’s when I was introduced to a minister with Cornerstone Christian Church. As we talked, we realized we had a mutual friend that we had both known for many years, and it was evident that the Lord had brought us together. After getting connected with him, I began meeting for Bible studies, which helped me to build the foundation that I had been missing my whole life. Now, with that foundation, and being discipled, I have grown so much in my faith and have started to share the Gospel with others. I’ve come to see quite a few students give their lives to the Lord. The Lord has given me great friends and the most joy. If it weren’t for the Lord moving through Cornerstone Christian Church, I’d still have a weak foundation and be struggling.
