I grew up going to church every Sunday with my family. I got baptized as a baby and confirmed a little after. Growing up in this religious environment led me to go to youth groups and church camps, however, I never had the right heart intention for them. When going into high school, people would see my cross necklace and be surprised that I called myself a Christian. In my senior year of high school, I put God on the back burner. I put work, baseball, friends, and girls all before Him. All that changed when I went to college though. The second week of my freshman year at USF St. Pete, I met a campus minister from Cornerstone. He shared the Gospel with me and for the first time, I knew I was not right with God. I wanted to change that. So, I started doing Bible studies with him and that did an amazing work on my heart! Instead of following a religious checklist to get right with God, I found that reading the Bible on my own for the Bible study, placed a desire on my heart to know Jesus not from head knowledge or religion, but through a relationship. On September 20, 2022, I gave my life to Jesus! Then, I was baptized in water on October 9, 2022. 1 year later, I am sharing the Gospel and teaching Bible studies on the USF St. Pete campus with students who are lost just like I was. My life has been transformed over the past year. I experience close fellowship every day with Jesus and with the other Christians He has put in my life! I am so thankful for how He saved me. I can’t wait to see what He is going to do in St. Pete and the other campuses Cornerstone reaches out to! - Tyler
